HAE Canada Members Forum – Under Construction
This is where you will be able to access the HAE Canada members forum.
The forums are still in the testing phase. While you wait here are some of the exciting features that these forums will be bringing to your HAE Canada membership experience.
Connect with Your Community
Because the HAE community is so small, it can be hard to encounter other people who have had similar experiences as you. These forums aim to bring our community together from across the country, so that everyone has a safe and private space to engage in discussions.
Share Your Stories
An important part of building any community is through storytelling. Everyone has their own unique story, and each story will have similarities with other people’s stories. The HAE Canada forum will provide space for our members to share their stories with each other. Moving forward, HAE Canada would like to work with our members to share their stories with the world. However, we would do this through close consultation, and prior approval from each member.
Living with a rare disease can be alienating and confusing. We hope these forums will be a place where members can ask questions and receive input and ideas from other members.
There will always be a need for more information, if you don’t want to ask a question, you can always sift through the questions that have already been asked. Often someone has dealt with the same issues that you have.
Create Your Own Personalized Profile
In order to connect with other members, it often helps to know a little bit about them. Our forum will give you the ability to create a profile with which you can choose what information you would like to share with others. We recommend sharing your city and your age!
A Private and Secure Environment where you can Share Your Experience with Other HAE Canada Members.
We can’t stress this enough, our forums will only be for HAE Canada members. Your information will be stored on Canadian servers and the latest security measures will be used to ensure that your data is protected. Facebook is also a great tool, but you never know when its privacy settings will change and where your data will go once you stop using their service.
If you would like to get involved, we are looking for testers and moderators for the forum. Please fill out the following form, if you are interested in helping to get our forum on its feet!
